Q. What kind of photo should I provide?
A. For color, either a transparency (color positive film) or color print from a professional lab is acceptable. For black and white or duotone, a B&W print is best. If you do not have a B&W print, a color print or transparency will often produce good results for B&W reproduction. Do not send color or B&W negatives.
Q. I don’t have a photo … what can you do?
A. We possess thousands of stock photos and illustrations in our library and can choose one that effectively illustrates your theme. Or we can produce a striking design with typefaces, graphics, patterns, and background colors.
Q. Can I use an amateur snapshot in my design?
A. Sometimes an amateur snapshot has a quality or charm that can be used to good effect. However in most cases, you’ll be more satisfied with finished results if you invest in a professional photo. If you can’t afford to stage a photo shoot, royalty-free stock images, such as PhotoDisc and GettyOne, may be an option.
Q. What if I want to use a drawing, painting or illustration?
A. Of course we can use it, so long as it’s submitted in the proper format. What you send us depends on size, technique and medium.
Q. What do you mean by “enhanced graphics” available in your premium packages?
A. Our premium packages include computer photo manipulation, if necessary. That includes adding, changing or enhancing color, cropping backgrounds or other elements in the photo, retouching, and many other techniques.
Q. Can I discuss my concepts directly with the artist who is designing my project?
A. Of course. We believe good things often happen when creative people put their heads together.
Q. Suppose I don’t like your design. What then?
A. Frankly, that rarely happens. But if it does, we’ll make the changes you want, or if we can’t satisfy you, we’ll return your deposit in full. |
